Supply Chain Manager

What will you do as Supply Chain Manager?

As Supply Chain Manager you will plan, manage, and coordinate procurement, logistics and warehouse activities of necessary products and services in compliance with the requirements of supply, and in line with the policies and guidelines established by Alewijnse.
You will assure the efficient movement of goods across international borders, including managing transportation, customs regulations, import duties and other applicable trade compliance requirements.
Your ability is to coordinate with other departments such as sales, engineering, project management, service in order to ensure a seamless flow of goods, timely, cost-effective deliveries and an optimized product portfolio and standardized work packages/ categories.
You will align with the Group with regards to overall procurement/category strategy, transportation conditions, all in line with the trade compliance policy.
Also, you will assure the harmonization of standard conditions for acquisition/ transportation within the BU and will monitor their compliance.
You will participate at periodical assessment of suppliers’ performance in collaboration with Supply Chain Management at group level.
You will evaluate continuously and re-engineer the supply chain in terms of flow of goods and optimal stock levels.

What describes you best?

As Supply Chain Manager, you will direct and coordinate the supply chain functions within the Romanian BU by aligning with the Group strategy.
Another ability will be to drive synergized resource optimization, lower total costs and better conditions for the BU / Alewijnse Group.
You will provide customized reporting and recommendations in support of ongoing business decisions or initiatives.
Another responsibility will be co-creating the implementation of an integrated group-wide ERP system aimed at a coordinated material flow and optimal stock levels.
You will be identifying and managing risks/opportunities in your area of responsibility.
Furthermore, you will assure translation of customers’ needs into what we need from supplier.

In addition, you have:

• • • Academic degree, preferably a master degree in a relevant field
    • A technical background
    • 5 to 7 years of management experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Operations Management, preferably in an international matrix organization
    • Knowledge of English, advanced (written, spoken)
    • Strong organizing, planning and delegation skills
    • Analytical skills, strong problem-solving ability, and excellent presentation skills
    • Intercultural sensitivity & communication skills

  • You are willing to travel internationally and spend (short) periods abroad.
